Frontiers is a contemporary dance creation, supported by the National Arts Fund. The piece explores how the mind and body intertwine as we navigate through the struggles in our everyday life towards better and brighter horizons along an uncertain pathway
Frontiers is Jean-Renat Anama’s latest dance creation. Gathered around this artistic project are multidisciplinary local artists in dance, music, painting, photography, video, slam, poetry and more.
The creator thought it was topical to explore the struggle happening in one’s everyday life, focusing particularly on India, the Indian Ocean Islands, and Africa, and how this leads to the exodus to Europe and the USA. He wants to express that special feeling which underpins the quest of a new life abroad, and the courage needed to venture on these uncertain pathways. From poetry, graphics to tragedy.
